About EmmaLucy Cole (MA)
After many different careers, from nightclub bouncer to Pizza chef, and having lived or travelled in places as diverse as Toronto and Tangier, I have finally settled (for the moment at least…) on the edge of the Red Sea in Sinai.
I am pursuing a PhD, exploring how Bedouin are represented in literature and film, and when I am not exploring the region for Alternative Egypt, I sit on the beach and write, work on community projects with Bedouin colleagues, swim amongst the fish, teach English, and take notes for my novel! At night you’ll find me playing music around the camp fire and chatting to friends from all over the world who return time and again to this amazing land.
